Elective module · 90 guided learning hours · Closed-book written examination · 50% pass mark. This elective introduces the main principles, concepts, and practices of supply chain management. The unit is self-standing and provides the essential underpinning for optional modules in this field. Content covers four main themes: what is a supply chain and supply chain planning, why it is important in any business, how the supply chain operates, and the principles for supply chain improvement. Where appropriate, the global and regional nature of the supply chain is emphasised.
