Course Overview

What happens after the purchase order — getting goods stored and delivered on time. Covers inventory classifications (WIP, safety stock, ABC), inventory control techniques (MRP, JIT), the five freight modes, and Incoterms for international shipping. Plus how to expedite delayed shipments and keep cash flow healthy.

What you'll learn

  • Classify inventory by type (raw, WIP, finished, safety stock, obsolete) and by ABC priority
  • Apply re-order quantities, re-order levels, and MRP/JIT thinking to a stock-control scenario
  • Choose between road, rail, air, sea, and pipeline freight based on cost, time, and product profile
  • Read and use the documents of international shipping — single administrative document, waybills, certificates of origin
