Course Overview

Sustainability is now a procurement requirement, not a nice-to-have. Covers CSR principles, the triple bottom line (people, profit, planet), environmental impact of sourcing decisions, and how to monitor supplier CSR compliance through KPIs, audits, and supplier appraisals. Choose this elective if your role focuses on supplier selection and sourcing decisions.

What you'll learn

  • Apply the triple bottom line (people, profit, planet) to a supplier-selection decision
  • Measure the carbon footprint and environmental impact of a sourcing option
  • Build CSR criteria into a request for proposal and supplier-appraisal framework
  • Choose appropriate monitoring methods — KPIs, audits, supplier appraisals — to verify supplier CSR claims
