Course Overview

The capstone. You apply everything from L4M1 through L4M7 to integrated workplace scenarios across public, private, and third sectors. Includes financial analysis from published statements, break-even calculation, and applied ESG decision-making. Assessed by case-study exam — the bridge between knowing and practising.

What you'll learn

  • Run the CIPS Procurement Cycle end-to-end across public, private, and third sectors
  • Calculate profitability, liquidity, gearing, and break-even from published financial statements
  • Apply whole-life asset management across primary, secondary, and tertiary industries
  • Make defensible ESG-aligned procurement decisions in real workplace scenarios

Syllabus & course details

Core module · 12 credits · Constructed Response (CR) exam · 3-hour duration. The applied module that integrates everything from the previous seven. You'll work case studies that demand the full procurement cycle — pre- and post-contract stages — across public, private, and third-sector contexts. Includes calculation of financial performance indicators from published statements, break-even analysis, and applied whole-life asset management. The CR exam tests practical judgement, not memorization.
