Course Overview

Supply chains break in predictable ways — currency swings, supplier insolvency, security threats, ESG failures. This module covers the tools and techniques to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor those risks, plus the contingency planning and insurance layers that keep operations running when something goes wrong.

What you'll learn

  • Build a risk register with probability/impact assessments and mitigation actions for a real supply chain
  • Apply contractual clauses (indemnity, force majeure, liquidated damages) to allocate risk between buyer and supplier
  • Evaluate the role of third-party auditors and insurance in managing residual risk
  • Assess how ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors create new categories of supply chain risk
