Course Overview

Leadership at the procurement function level. This module covers the difference between leadership and management, contemporary leadership theories (transformational, situational, contingency), communication and influence planning across stakeholders, and the ethical and ESG dimensions that increasingly shape what good procurement leadership looks like.

Syllabus & course details

Core module · 12 credits · Constructed Response (CR) exam · 3-hour duration. The leadership module for senior procurement. You'll work through leadership theory (trait, functional, transformational, situational, contingency), communication planning to influence diverse stakeholders, methods to overcome leadership challenges (power dynamics, ED&I, conflict, change management), and the ethical practices and regulations that shape ESG-aligned procurement leadership.
